Cops crack down on drugs

Dagga found at Richards Bay cafe

POLICE conducted numerous raids to combat incessant drug dealing activities in Richards Bay during the weekend.

Taxi City, situated near the Richards Bay Magistrates Court, was combed by members of the Richards Bay SAPS on Friday.

Afterwards, two compounds in Brackenham were searched.

However, no illegal substances were found in the areas.

On Saturday, police discovered a significant amount of dagga at the Alpha Café and arrested three men.

‘We will have continuous disruptive operations throughout this year,’ said Richards Bay spokesperson Debbie Ferreira.
