THE Empangeni Ward 23 community meeting got off to a good start last night when more than 50 residents and 15 municipal officials met to address pressing issues pertaining to service delivery.
Lasting two hours, residents raised questions about long-standing problems such as potholes, public drinking and speeding on local roads.
Electricity, pollution and increased traffic were also added to the list of concerns.
Officials were given until March to review the problems and provide answers and propose possible solutions.
