Illegal break in and occupation case in Richards Bay goes to court

Pringle Varden was arrested last week after taking occupation of a house claimed to be abandoned and was remanded in custody for seven days

A BRACKENHAM resident appeared in the Richards Bay Magistrate’s Court this week in connection with an alleged illegal occupation matter including several criminal charges relating to burglary residential and damage to property.

Pringle Varden was arrested last week after taking occupation of a house claimed to be abandoned and was remanded in custody for seven days.

The matter was postponed to 26 February for further investigation.

It is alleged he broke and entered into the premises in Brackenham and removed furniture and household items before moving in.
