Severe weather warning for parts of Zululand

THE South African Weather Service (SAWS) has urged members of the public to take precautions against severe weather that has been forecast for this afternoon (Wednesday) and tonight.

Thunderstorms with hail, heavy downpours and strong winds are expected between 3pm and 8pm, to affect parts of Zululand and uMkhanyakude districts, possibly moving eastwards.

Areas within these districts said to be affected include Pongola, Ulundi, Paulpietersburg, Vryheid, Hluhluwe, Mtubatuba, Mkhuze, Manguzi, Jozini and St Lucia.

Motorists are urged to drive with extreme care on wet roads.
