Grief counselling course offered

THOSE who have experienced the loss of a loved one are invited to join the GriefShare counselling courses
being offered by the Trinity Lutheran Church in Empangeni.
An information session will be held from 7pm to 8pm on Tuesday, 11 February at the church, located at 58 President Swart Avenue.
Courses will commence the following week depending on the choice (daytime or evening) of participants.
The GriefShare course, which consists of 13 weekly sessions, deals with topics such as Is this normal?; The journey of grief; Grief and and anger; Complicating factors.
‘In essence it creates a safe and confidential environment to help you to deal with, and work through your grieving process,’ said pastor Reiner Focke.
‘It is meant for anyone who has lost a loved one, be it a child, spouse, parent or friend.
‘It is walking alongside people on their path of grief towards healing and hope for the future.
‘It addresses physical, emotional and spiritual challenges associated with grief, and the course is also extremely valuable for counsellors.’
