WATCH: Fire at Empangeni rail

The industrial area of Empangeni is covered by clouds of black smoke emitting from Zululand Used Spares, where a scrapyard caught on fire this afternoon (Sunday).

Neighbouring businesses owners at Empangeni Rail, as well as commuters from the taxi rank, surrounded the business premises as firefighters worked tirelessly to extinguish the flames which spread onto the tyres and scrap cars. Authorities are not yet sure how the fire started.
