MORE than a hundred rural households will benefit from an electricity provision project in eShowe.
The good news was delivered by uMlalazi Mayor Thelumoya Zulu when he introduced the contractor at Ngedlesi last Thursday.
‘About 118 disadvantaged households in Ward 4 in the Mhlwehlweni area will benefit,’ said Zulu.
‘The contractor will not only bring light, but also create jobs and transfer skills to the community.
‘About 90% of our formerly marginalised communities are now connected to electricity.
According to the municipality the project will cost about R1-million.
