Portuguese on the Bay boasts three nominations in the Best of Zululand Readers’ Choice Awards this year:
- 90 – Best Restaurant
- 91 – Best Beat the Budget Restaurant
- 93 – Best Restaurant – Seafood
The restaurant, situated at the Tuzi Gazi Waterfront in Richards Bay, opened its doors only a few years ago, but has since been overwhelmed by the support of a loyal customer base.
Zululanders clearly love dining at Portuguese on the Bay, owing to a winning combination of great food, a large kiddies’ entertainment area and a spectacular setting, with a fantastic view over the waterfront.
The restaurant is owned by businesswoman Goodness Sikhosana, who also owns a restaurant in Durban.
Sikhosana says she is thrilled with the nominations, as she always aspires to give her customers the best experience.
She has many new plans for 2020, including a special surprise for grandfathers and grandmothers. The menu will soon include a special pensioners’ lunch which will offer excellent value that will be easy on the pocket.
This special menu item is currently being developed in Durban, so once it is ready Sikhosana will invite all pensioners to come and experience ‘the goodness’.
