Stolen livestock recovered in Kwambonambi

According to a police statement, a herd of cattle was stolen at a farm in Mtubatuba last Saturday

KZN Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Khombinkosi Jula, has appealed to cattle owners to keep a close eye on their livestock at all times.

The call was made after the recovery of stolen cattle at a forest in KwaMbonambi last week.

A number of 50 livestock were driven back to their farm at Mtubatuba by its herdsman, after being stolen and recovered at KwaMbonambi area last Saturday

According to a police statement, a herd of cattle was stolen at a farm in Mtubatuba last Saturday.

The KwaMbonambi stock theft unit was called in to investigate and all the stolen cattle were recovered in the bushes in the KwaMbonambi area and returned to the owner.

‘We will continue to fight stock theft in partnership with rural livestock owners. All suspicious people must be reported to the police,’ said Jula.
