This follows a major power outage that affected the area since yesterday owing to multiple cable faults
The uMhlathuze Municipality’s technical team is currently working to restore power on a two hour schedule in affected areas in Empangeni CBD.
This follows a major power outage that affected the area since yesterday owing to multiple cable faults reportedly as a result of a major cable being damaged by machinery.
City spokesperson Mdu Ncalane said assurance has been given that power will be progressively restored to all areas.
