Here’s your line-up of weekend entertainment

GRAB your diary and make note of these events happening in and around Empangeni and Richards Bay this weekend.

From a swim-a-thon later today (Friday), to a spinfest tomorrow and a night market at the waterfront on Sunday, there is much to choose from, as well as some future events to diarise.

FRIDAY, 2.30pm – uShaka swim-a-thon at the Arboretum swimming pool in Richards Bay. Whether you doggy paddle or butterfly, the event is open to all ages and abilities. For more information, contact (WhatsApp) 082 5868888 or 076 7548948.

SATURDAY, 11am – Richards Bay Takeover Spinfest at the ZCBF showgrounds. There will be a show & shine, and sound-off competition. Entry is R60 for adults, R40 for children under 12. For more information and to enquire about VIP passes, contact Castro on 073 1635815 or Michelle on 082 3273231.

SUNDAY, 2pm – 10pm – Bohemian Beach Bumz night market at Tuzi Gazi Waterfront in Richards Bay to mark the opening of the cruise liner season. Stallholders can participate at no charge. For more information, phone 081 8806565.

SATURDAY, 16 November, 10am – Miss and Mr Mzingazi auditions at Mzingazi Hall in Richards Bay. Auditions will be done in two groups – 8 to 16 years and 17 to 26 years.
