SPCA food stocks replenished thanks to generous Richards Bay community
Caring animal lovers rushed in to help the cash-strapped NPO

AFTER sending out an SOS for help restocking its food store, the Richards Bay SPCA today (Friday) issued a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to the community at large for its generosity.
Twenty-four hours after issuing the appeal, the NPO’s food stocks has increased significantly, thanks to the fast acting community of animal lovers.
The SPCA can now see through the festive season upon us, many pets are found wandering the streets, lost and sometimes injured, and are cared for by the SPCA.
This in addition to the stray and surrendered animals coming through their gates daily.
‘We thank the community for their generosity in our times of need,’ said SPCA Manager Shelly Prinsloo.
‘With firework season near, we urge pet owners to keep their animals indoors at night, for their own safety.’
