North coast mother hacked to death

IN yet another horror attack on females, a 22-year-old mother was hacked to death with her four-month-old baby still strapped to her back.

King Cetshwayo Cluster spokesperson, Captain Mbongeni Mdlalose told the ZO that the mother of two, Thandeka Zikhali, was brutally attacked with a panga by her brother-in-law in Mtunzini last week.

‘The woman’s brother-in-law accused her of witchcraft and entered her home where he hacked and stabbed her to death.

The baby fell off her back during the attack and was not harmed.’

The man escaped and is still at large.
