CANSA calls for relay entries

The 12-hour event will be hosted at the ZCBF Community Park from 6pm to 6am on 28 September and local businesses, companies, schools, community groups and the general public can participate

ZULULANDERS are invited to register their teams for the annual CANSA Relay for Life event in Richards Bay next weekend and celebrate life with cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer and help boost funds to raise awareness and for support services.

The 12-hour event will be hosted at the ZCBF Community Park from 6pm to 6am on 28 September and local businesses, companies, schools, community groups and the general public can participate.

Registration for all cancer survivors attending must be submitted as soon as possible as T-shirts will be printed for them.

Teams raise funds before and during the relay and these funds are dedicated to funding CANSA’s services.

Members take turns to walk or run around a track for 12 hours and the goal is to keep one team member on the track at all times, as ‘cancer never sleeps’.

Entry per person is R50 or R500 per team of 10.

Pensioners (65) and children between 5 to 15 years pay R25, while there is no charge for children under five.
