Here are some events that could brighten an otherwise dull Saturday and Sunday.

It is a club fund-raiser and a chance for new members to join.

23 August 6pm – Great fun is expected to be had at Richards Bay Mission to Seafarers’ upcoming music evening.
For just R50 per person, visitors can sing along to great hits and enjoy a delicious meal cooked by the mission’s talented cooks.
And, for just R20, you stand the chance to win a hamper filled with delicious goodies.

1 September 8am – NORTH Coast Anti-poaching will host its first ever Spring Day beach clean-up and encourages all to join in.
The clean-up will be held at the Bay Hall and is a fund-raising drive for the anti-poaching volunteers to continue carrying out their much-needed water patrols.
The cost is R50 per person which includes a goodie bag on registration, a free T-shirt for all registered participants and refreshments.
Closing date for entries is today (16 August) so enter now to avoid missing out.
There will be a prize for the best dressed team, so get creative and dress according to the theme.

7 September 7.30am – The annual SANCA/Eyethu Baywatch Walk away from Drugs is being held at the Zululand Multisport Club in Meerensee.
This fun 5km walk with prizes for schools with the most entrants on the day is open to everyone regardless of age, and schools are encouraged to ensure as many of their learners as possible participate.
