KWAMSANE police have arrested a 33-year-old woman for being in possession of an unlicensed firearm in the Ogengele area in Somkhele Reserve.
According to Capt Jabulani Mdletshe, KwaMsane police acted on information received.
‘At Thembisile Nsibande’s homestead they searched and found a shotgun with the serial number filed off. She maintained that the firearm did not belong to her.
‘She appeared in KwaMsane Magistrate’s Court on Monday and was released on bail.
‘Her case was postponed to 4 September. The firearm has been sent for ballistic testing,’ said Mdletshe.
