65 Injured as bus overturns

Lucky escape for bus passengers

A BUS transporting 65 passengers overturned on a gravel road near Nongoma on Friday morning (3 January).

The accident occurred on the road to Kombuzi near Nongoma.

EMRS in Ulundi dispatched six ambulances, two advanced life support paramedics and a patient transport bus from their Nongoma base to the scene.

The paramedics found that most of the 65 passengers had sustained serious injuries.

EMRS transported 46 patients to Benedictine Hospital in Nongoma, while 19 were treated and transported by private ambulance services.
