FLAMES engulfed an outbuilding on Conrad Avenue in Empangeni today, leaving destruction in its wake.

Community Policing Forum Chairperson Zonita Grobbelaar said the fire department arrived at the scene at around noon to put out the flames.

‘It is unclear how the fire started, but it is assumed that it could have been by an appliance in the building.’

No one was injured in the fire, which has since been put out.
