Cowan and Mahaffy clean up competition
Belinda Cowan and Basil Mahaffy won the Kwambonambi Country Club competition.
GOLFERS came out on Saturday to test their ‘festive’ skills at the Kwambonambi Country Club, when they participated in the club’s Better Ball Scramble Format over 18 holes.
Players were treated to great conditions on a well manicured course with green luscious greens and fairways.
But it was the partnership of Belinda Cowan and Basil Mahaffy that proved unstoppable, when the pair snatched first place with a total of 57 points.
The pair played so well, that they were six points ahead of their closest second placed rivals S Manjana and T Msweli on 51 points.
Overall it was a great day of golf played by one and all with an unforgetable visit at the 19th hole.
