‘Moya’ kept the golfers cool

PLAYING 27 holes on the trot at the eShowe Hills EcoEstate was no mean feat, especially when temperatures were in the 30s, but luckily the wind kept golfers cool.

This was the challenge faced by golfers competing in the Moya MacKenzie Memorial Trophy tournament held on Saturday.

The format is that the best score out of three over the first nine holes, two best on the second nine and all three scores count on the last nine holes.

To make the contest more interesting there was also a ‘pink ball’ compo running with three turkeys for the team not losing their pink ball.

Turkey prizes, sponsored by eShowe Pick n Pay, went to the top teams.

The winning team was Joseph Sibiya, Absolom Madonsela and Steven Huang.
