AVID rugby supporters are in for a jam-packed rugby weekend.
Apart from the Super Rugby fixtures on Friday and Saturday, fans can also look forward to the seventh leg of the HSBC World Sevens Series in Hong Kong on Friday to Sunday.
The Blitzbokke will head into this leg with confidence after winning the Vancouver tournament, which earned them 22 log points.
This moved the defending champions into fourth spot on the overall log standings.
Neil Powell’s men are currently sitting on 89 points, with leaders USA on 113 points.
With four legs to go, the Blitzbokke are not out of the reckoning, but need to win in Hong Kong.
Second placed New Zealand has 106 points, with third placed Fiji on 101 points.
South have been placed in an easy pool alongside Japan, Scotland and Samoa, which should see the squad at least qualifying for the Cup quarter-finals.
South Africa will take on Japan on Friday at 12.06pm, then Scotland on Saturday morning (5.41am) and Samoa at 9.22am.
Play-off’s are then scheduled for late Saturday afternoon and early Sunday morning.
The remaining tournaments are Singapore (13-14 April), London (25-26 May) and Paris (1-2 June).
