Welcome to our visitors
Stay alert, stay safe, stay sober and have a wonderful holiday.

WE offer a warm welcome to all the holiday-makers who have descended on Zululand to enjoy the festive season in this most beautiful part of the country.
We would also like to offer some words of warning and advice, which may help to make your stay a more pleasant one – and we speak as people who every season regrettably have to report on tragic incidents that could have been avoided.
There are some issues that don’t change, whether at home or on vacation.
One thing is to be vigilant about crime. Stay alert even while in holiday mode.
Secure your valuables and watch out for ATM scams, wallet- and purse-snatching and other dangers.
The criminals are not on holiday – on the contrary, this is their big opportunity.
Do not go alone to secluded places, such as beach walks away from the crowds, or bush trails.
Watch out for spiked drinks in bars (there is a major drug problem in the area).
Protect your children from unwanted attention and don’t allow under-aged teens to frequent licensed premises.
Obey the road rules, be courteous and do not drink and drive: there is zero tolerance in these parts.
Be especially careful in the water. The sea is unpredictable and dangerous, so try to swim where there are lifeguards and shark nets.
Watch out for sunburn and dehydration, and do not leave valuables unattended on the beach while you swim.
Do not let small children out of your site; drownings happen in a moment.
Drinking and drowning are also often companions.
Remember that many bodies of water in Zululand are home to crocodiles and hippos.
If visiting wildlife reserves, stay in your vehicle at all times while game viewing.
Most of the above are common sense issues but, sadly, each year the tragedies are repeated.
So, stay alert, stay safe, stay sober and have a wonderful holiday.
