A highly poisonous boomslang safely removed from eSikhaleni home

Sneaky snake safely removed

INTREPID local snake catcher Fred Lubbe literally had his hands full when called to a home in eSikhaleni on Friday to remove a highly poisonous boomslang.

After complaining he was having withdrawal symptoms because it was ages since his services were called on, Fred came face-to-face with the venomous reptile in a tree in the complainant’s yard.

‘I never saw it until it was right in front of me,’ said Fred.

‘She was real feisty and in excellent condition, about 1.2 metres in length.’

Fred caught and later released to boomslang, which was not impressed about being kept in a container and wasted no time after being freed to slither off into the wild.
