Technology forum broadens its structures

An interim committee was selected for the northern KZN region

THE Black Information Technology Forum KZN (BITFKZN) held a stakeholders session at the City of uMhlathuze Council Chambers in Empangeni last Friday to discuss sustainable development plans to transform the economy.

The engagement involved representatives from the local government, arts, technology and media sectors.
Among the outcomes of the session was the urgent need for an Multiple Image Computed Tomography (MICT) Biz Hub that will serve the City of uMhlathuze and King Cetshwayo District, with the purpose of facilitating growth and development within the province’s MICT sector.

An interim committee was selected for the northern KZN region.

The forum will assist with implementing programmes relating to digital transformation within the media, information, communication and technology sectors.
