Seminar for local entrepreneurs

Investors will unveil opportunities tailor-made for small players

SMALL businesses in the King Cetshwayo District will take centre stage at the fifth annual engagement seminar which will be held at Ngwelezana Community Hall on Wednesday.

The small, micro and medium enterprise (SMME) seminar is hosted by the Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone (RBIDZ) in partnership with the King Cetshwayo District and uMhlathuze municipalities.

This follows KZN MEC for Economic Development Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Sihle Zikalala’s recent call of ensuring inclusive economic growth in the province.

Last year during an entrepreneurship summit, Zikalala announced that R57-million had been set aside to support co-operatives and small business enterprises.

This is aimed at fast-tracking the entry of small players into the mainstream economy through the agrarian socio-economic transformation programme.
