Found next to a wheelchair, the remains were severely decomposed and police could not confirm the gender or any further details.

According to SAPS Communications Officer Captain Debbie Ferreira, a pedestrian walking along the gravel road about 300 metres from the John Ross Highway, made the tragic discovery.

‘At this stage we cannot confirm any further information but request members of the public who might recognise the wheelchair to call the police. ‘Police would like to identify the deceased and also make contact with any family members. ‘

Anyone with information can contact Captain Ntombela on 035 9012415 or 082 4213507.
