MORE than R8 000 was raised at the Gijima for CANSA event which took place at the Zululand Multi Sport Club in Richards Bay on Sunday.

Sixty-five people participated in the 5km family fun run/walk aimed at creating awareness about healthy lifestyles and encouraging everyone to participate in the fight against cancer.

CANSA Richards Bay applauded the support received and thanked participants who made the event a success.

All proceeds raised during this fund-raiser will be used towards educating the public and offering support services to cancer patients and their families.
