uShaka defend swimming title

TEN KZN swimming clubs competed in the annual uShaka Swimming Club Championship gala held at the Arboretum swimming pool over the weekend.

Fierce competition was shown over the two days, resulting in 27 new records.

uShaka’s Mikayla Nieuwenhuizen completed the girls 14-15 years age group 50m butterfly race in 58.47sec

Boys and girls aged U9 to open competed in 142 events, collecting vital points for their clubs.

uShaka Swimming Club defended their title successfully with 4 731 points, followed by Pongola Swim Academy with 1 905 points.
