Police seek help to identify murder victim
The body of an African male, believed to be about 30 years old, was found with his hands bound and gunshot wounds
EMPANGENI detectives are appealing to members of the public to assist in identifying a murder victim.
According to King Cetshwayo Cluster Police spokesperson, Captain Mbongeni Mdlalose, the body of an African male, believed to be about 30 years old, was found with his hands bound and gunshot wounds.
A security officer in the Mkhoma area near eNseleni called police after he came across the victim.
‘The man was still alive when the security guard found him, but died shortly after police arrived.
‘His identity is not known at this stage and we are appealing to the public to assist.
‘If they have a loved one who has been missing, they must contact us.’
Mdlalose said a case of murder has been opened and anyone with information should contact Sergeant NS Mjiyakso of the Empangeni Detective Unit on 078 6427505 or the Crime Stop number 08600 10111.
