Leisurely Golf in the Bay

Funds raised for Richards Bay Golf Academy

SATURDAY saw golfers from all over South Africa making their way to the Richards Bay Country Club to play in the 4th annual Absolute Leisure Golf Day.

Tee-off was at 6:30am and with the marvellous weather the day began.

Mrs Terblanche was the overall winner with a score of 45 and also walked away with the ladies’ longest drive award.

Mr J de Lange came in second with a score of 41 and Mr Justin Joseph third also with 41.

Fourth was Mr M Sibiya and fifth was Mr T Mbuyazi.

Mr Vincent Mnguni received the award for the men’s longest drive and Mr Vernon Thaver got closest to the pin on the 8th hole.

The proceeds raised from this event will be going to the Richards Bay Golf Academy which trains young, talented and previously disadvantaged children from Mzingazi.
