Job opportunity for 300 health professionals
Job assessment programme, Durban, nurses and nursing assistants

THE Department of Health in KZN is calling on individuals who hold nursing qualifications to attend a job assessment programme in Durban next Wednesday (19 December).
There are 300 available posts, but only for 150 enrolled nurses and 150 enrolled nursing sssistants and not any other nursing categories. This process is also only open to candidates who have never been permanently employed.
Candidates are required to arrive at the sports fields opposite Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital (800 Vusi Mzimela Road, Cato Manor, Durban) early on Wednesday, for the assessment.
They will then be transported to two venues at 9am, where they will be required to write an examination to assess their professional knowledge and suitability to be considered for employment by the department.
The department has urged all candidates not to fall victim to fraudulent advertisements that may be circulating on mobile platforms (except for the department’s official Facebook page), which may ask them to pay for posts. No government post is ever paid for, as this constitutes a criminal activity.
Candidates are required to bring along:
• Certified copies of their Identity Documents;
• Certified copies of matric certificates and nursing qualifications;
• Certified proof of registration with the South African Nursing Council – and proof of the latest affiliation payments;
Candidates will be transported free of charge to the writing venues and back. They will only be allowed to complete one Z83 form, as each person may only apply for one post.
Inquiries can be directed to Mr NC Mbatha on 033 3952299.
