Case against accused bodyguard killers postponed
Dumisani Cebekhulu (26) and Ntuthuko Mkhwanazi (24) appeared in the Empangeni Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, where they stand accused of the murder of Nkosi in 2015

IT will be well into the new year before the family of slain Xolani Nkosi can receive some sort of closure after his murder.
This after the case against two men accused of murdering Nkosi, a bodyguard of former KZN Premier Senzo Mchunu, was postponed to 29 January.
Dumisani Cebekhulu (26) and Ntuthuko Mkhwanazi (24) appeared in the Empangeni Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, where they stand accused of the murder of Nkosi in 2015.
Magistrate BH Mtshali said the court was still awaiting a High Court date, as well as the issuing of an indictment.

The two face further charges of armed robbery and attempted carjacking.
Nkosi’s bullet-riddled body was found in a state vehicle at his home in Dumisane Makhaye Village on 17 July, 2015 after he was shot by three men travelling in a VW Golf.
KZN Hawks Communications Officer, Captain Simphiwe Mhlongo, confirmed that a third suspect is still at large.
Both accused will be remanded in custody at Qalakabusha Correctional Centre until their next appearance.
In an earlier interview with the ZO, Mchunu welcomed the arrests, saying it was a significant development in the sense that shortly after the murder, the case had been shrouded in allegations and rumours, directed specifically against him.
