Bonsai exhibition in Richards Bay
There will be a bonsai exhibition and demonstrations to include the re-potting and styling of visitors’ bonsai trees
MEMBERS of the public are welcome to attend an open day hosted by the Zululand Bonsai Society from 8am to 12pm on Saturday at Green Africa Nursery.
There will be a bonsai exhibition and demonstrations to include the re-potting and styling of visitors’ bonsai trees.
It is an ideal opportunity to get into bonsai, learn more about it and have the experienced Zululand Bonsai Society members re-pot and style your trees, as well as give tips on how to look after them.
Re-potting and styling of visitors’ trees will be done at a cost of between R20 and R50 depending on the size of the tree.
There will be an additional cost for mesh, stone and bonsai soil used.
Two demonstrations will be held: Nursery stock to Bonsai part one from 9.30am–10.15am and Nursery stock to Bonsai part two from 11am–11.45am.
Raffle tickets will be sold at R10 each and the lucky winner will win a magnificent, expertly styled bonsai tree.
Bonsai pots, tools, soil and trees will also be on sale.
