Sea Rescue issues full moon spring tide warning

Bathers and shore anglers are urged to take caution

THE National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) has urged beach-goers to swim only in areas demarcated by lifeguards’ red and yellow flags, when lifeguards are on duty.

This warning comes as we are in the peak of the full moon spring tide.

Strong currents and strong rip currents can be expected around the coast.

Bathers and shore anglers are urged to take caution.
