New Director has big plans for local legal firm
Meet the new Director of Rohrs Duvenage Attorneys

Have you met the new Director of Rohrs Duvenage Attorneys?
With 13 years’ experience in the industry, Francois Stadler is young and ready to take the firm to another level.
Francois invites Zululand residents to make use of Rohrs Duvenage’s services.
You don’t need to use the services of a Durban based attorney to get legal advice, he assures.
As new Director, Francois would like to see Rohrs Duvenage Attorneys become the obvious and favourite choice for clients in the greater Zululand area when they need legal services.
Another goal is to have the biggest market share of conveyancing and debt collection work in Empangeni within the next four years.
We have always been one of the few firms where regular clients and estate agents feel comfortable to walk in for advice and guidance. We aim to keep the office a place where clients as well as staff feel at home.
Francois believes that happy staff are more productive, so he will continue to make them feel important and that their contributions are valuable.
For management as well as staff, the client remains the most important asset to look after because without loyal clients we cannot exist and have no chance of continuing our growth.
About Francois Stadler
Francois’ speciality is conveyancing and debt collections.
In fact, he is one of only three local conveyancers that have been admitted in the Empangeni and Richards Bay area since at least late 2013.
I passed my Conveyancing admission examinations during 2017 and achieved 10th place in KwaZulu-Natal. The pass rate over the past four years have been well below 15% and only three new conveyancers have been admitted in the Empangeni and Richards Bay area since at least late 2013 (including me).
Francois explains that the average standard of the papers and the marking thereof increased substantially after 2013.
This meant I head to study almost as much for the Conveyancing exams as I did for the whole LLB degree, which was literally thousands of hours, while working full time. This all was only possible by the grace of God and a very supportive wife.
Francois started his articles at Duvenage Attorneys in Richards Bay in early 2005.
I studied LLB part time through UNISA while working full time. I was trained in most areas of law between 2005 and 2012, when I was admitted as an attorney. During at least the first 10 years of my career I took on cases covering almost all fields of law, which although being very stressful (not specialising initially), has made me a well-rounded attorney and conveyancer.
In 2013 he was moved to Rohrs Duvenage to manage which was then a branch office.
Due to this office doing large amounts of conveyancing work (of all types) for a developer and other clients, I had to quickly learn how to do the more difficult parts of conveyancing, such as township establishments, consolidations and sub divisions – not just transfers of properties.
Rohrs Duvenage is on the panels of most of the banks and attend to bond registrations.
In addition to conveyancing, Rohrs Duvenage Attorneys has a large debt recovery department.
Over the past three years we have taken over the debt collection departments of two local firms and organically grown the department for a much longer period.
Rohrs Duvenage Attorneys mainly does debt collections for schools and Sectional Scheme Body Corporates, but has systems in place to cater for all types of collections and very large volumes.
Rohrs Duvenage Attorneys is situated on the First Floor of the FNB Building, 8 Smith Street, Empangeni.
