The cleanest school in Mtubatuba receives a reward

The school was identified as a clean school after an oversight visit conducted by Cllr Annacletah Mabika, the DA Caucus Chairperson in the Mtubatuba Municipality

INKOSIKAYINGANGATHI High School recently received a certificate of appreciation after being recognised as the cleanest school in Mtubatuba.

The school was identified as a clean school after an oversight visit conducted by Cllr Annacletah Mabika, the DA Caucus Chairperson in the Mtubatuba Municipality.

Inkosikayingangathi, located in rural Mtubatuba, was earlier this year visited by the Provincial Legislature after it achieved an outstanding 90.9% matric pass rate last year.

As well as the certificate of appreciation for its cleanliness, the school also received cleaning material and refuse bags, and trees were planted in commemoration of Arbor Day.

‘We want to encourage all schools in Mtubatuba to be well looked after in terms of cleanliness. This creates an environment conducive to learning,’ said Mabika.

‘I would also like to thank the school Principal, Mr Sbusiso Dube, as well as the teachers, learners and School Governing Body for setting a good example and collectively keeping their school clean.

‘Having this school in our municipality gives us hope that through dedication and great results, good behaviour can be obtained.’
