Excitement as Lauryn Hill heads to SA
The singer will embark on a world tour, celebrating 20 years of her debut solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
FANS of legendary R&B singer Lauryn Hill were elated on Wednesday following the announcement that she is set to perform in the country next year.
The US singer and actress will be performing in Johannesburg on 2 February as part of her anniversary tour.
‘Lauryn Hill today announced the addition of a South African date to her newly announced World Tour, celebrating 20 years of her debut solo album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
The Grammy Award-winning artist will kick off the European leg of her anniversary tour on 18 November in Brussels, continuing through France, UK, Ireland, Holland, Denmark, Sweden before culminating in Norway on 11 December.
‘She will perform in Johannesburg, on 2 February 2019 at the Ticketpro Dome,’ Big Concerts announced.
The tour will also feature special guest, rapper Nas.
One fan tweeted: ‘Thrilled about this Lauryn Hill concert’, while another said: ‘It is the best news ever. The irony is in the literal fact that Nas is my favourite rapper, and Miss Lauryn Hill is a one woman power house of multi talents.’
