Three suspects nabbed with bags of dagga

GINGINDLOVU police arrested three suspects travelling along the R66 after they were found in possession of drugs on Tuesday morning.

It is believed the three suspects a male and two females – were travelling from Pongola to Durban.

King Cetshwayo Police Cluster spokesperson, Captain Mbongeni Mdlalose, said one of their officers was on his way to work when he spotted a suspicious vehicle travelling towards Durban.

‘It was around 6.30am when Captain Cornie Hersbst of Gingindlovu SAPS spotted the vehicle and called for backup from the Gingindlovu Police Station.

‘The vehicle was stopped and searched and nine bags full of dagga with an estimated street value of R25 000 were recovered.

‘The arrested suspects will appear in Mtuzini Regional Court soon on charges of dealing in drugs,’ Mdlalose said.
