ONE man has been arrested and the firearm believed to have been used in a recent murder has been sent for ballistic testing.
An early morning operation led KwaMsane police officers to the Mfekayi, near Mtubatuba, home of the suspect (36) who was arrested at 3am on Thursday.
According to police reports, the suspect allegedly lost the firearm during a fatal shooting in Mfekayi some weeks ago.

He reportedly returned to the crime scene to search for, and recover, the weapon.
The murder investigation led police to the suspect’s home where they found the firearm.
The suspect was arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm and seven rounds of ammunition.
Ballistics testing will confirm whether or not the firearm was used in other crimes.
