R9.5 million for community development in eShowe
R2.1-million has been budgeted for the construction of the 950m long Kwagalagala Road, and R3.6-million for the upgrade of the 4.5km Mthintombi gravel road
EMERGENCY services and motorists will soon experience more comfortable travelling on eShowe roads.
It was announced by uMlalazi Mayor Thelumoya Jeke Zulu last week during a sod turning ceremony which marked the construction site of two roads and a community hall.
R2.1-million has been budgeted for the construction of the 950m long Kwagalagala Road, and R3.6-million for the upgrade of the 4.5km Mthintombi gravel road.
The community development project will also include the construction of the Izingwenya Community Hall.
According to the municipality, the hall will accommodate 500 people and will benefit the community of Ward 21 with a reliable and safe structure for community activities.
The total amount budgeted for all three projects is R9.5-million.
