POLICE have arrested two suspects after an armed robbery that took place in Vryheid on Monday.
It is alleged the pair were part of a group of seven who stormed the Vryheid Plaza.
Zululand Police Cluster Spokesperson, Captain Nkosie Gwala said one of the suspects was shot in the thigh during the arrest.

‘During the arrest of the first suspect, a huge amount of cash was recovered in his possession, and another huge sum of money was found at the second suspect’s house.
Gwala said three cell phones which were taken during the armed robbery were also recovered.
‘Four boxes containing money, an LM5 rifle with 22 rounds of ammunition and charcoal VW Polo were recovered during the arrest and all these items were seized and kept and exhibits,’ said Gwala.
‘Five suspects are still at large and our investigation is still underway,’ said Gwala.
