A MAN accused of stabbing to death a 45-year-old man of the Nkuzana area in Nongoma on Sunday, has been arrested.
The suspect was traced and apprehended following a community tip-off.
The body of the victim, Themba Nkosi, was found along the road leading into the Nkuzana area, four metres away from a local tavern.
Zululand Police Cluster spokesperson, Captain Nkosie Gwala, said a case of murder was opened at the Nongoma police station.

‘According to our information, the deceased was last seen at the tavern in the early hours of Sunday morning. He was found with stab wounds to the chest, one at the back and one on his forehead.’
Gwala added that police received a tip-off about the suspect and his whereabouts on Sunday.
‘They swiftly followed up on the information and arrested the suspect, who appeared in the Nongoma Magistrate’s Court on Monday. He was remanded in custody.’
