ONE person is in a critical but stable condition following a multiple car pileup on the N2 northbound, just before the Empangeni offramp, yesterday evening.
The accident involving at least five vehicles and a bus caused havoc and major traffic congestion as a portion of the N2 northbound lane had to be closed off to motorists.

SAPS, uMhlathuze Traffic and RTI members were on scene to divert traffic.
While reports are unclear, it is believed that the bus rear-ended one vehicle which caused a chain reaction as the cars were already in standstill traffic due to an earlier accident on the N2.
