A victory, not a tragedy
The Zululand Observer joins the millions who mourn Madiba's death
THERE are many times when deaths can be regarded as ‘tragic’, as when one passes away young, or unexpectedly, or unprepared, or with unfinished business, or with their potential still unused.
There are also times when death is seen as a reward, the completion of a perfect circle, a well-deserved release from the toils of life, and a victory.
Such is the case with our beloved Nelson ‘Madiba’ Mandela.
Born to lead and sharpened through adversity, he never flinched from the purpose to which he was called.
His overwhelming compassion, forgiving spirit and positive disposition endeared him to the world.
The Zululand Observer joins the millions who mourn his death, yes, but more so celebrate his life, as being among those so privileged to share with him this planet which he made a better place.
Hamba kahle, dear Madiba.
May the good Lord protect your loved ones and multiply your legacy a hundredfold.
