Unanswered questions in drug bust story

THE story ‘Waterfront Drug Bust’ (Z.O. 6 December) bust is somewhat misleading.

The police did not come to the premises to do a ‘drug bust’, as this would imply that the police were monitoring the premises due to drug complaints.

It was in fact the owners of the restaurant who phoned the police to come to the premises as money belonging to a waitress went missing.

Also, the police strip-searched only the waitresses and the staff – no patrons were searched.

Also note that the drugs were found on the person who was arrested and not on the premises.
