Building community through infrastructure projects
After hearing about the family's circumstances, Ramlutchman pledged to build the five children and their parents a new home
A FAMILY of seven living in a small, dilapidated wooden structure in Macekane, under the Somopho Tribal Authority and Inkosi Mthembu, will soon have a brand new four-room house thanks to the intervention of Zululand philanthropist Ishwar Ramlutchman.
After hearing about the family’s circumstances, Ramlutchman pledged to build the five children and their parents a new home.
Construction is well underway and expected to be complete by next month.

Ramlutchman, local businessman and Vice President of the Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin, has been instrumental in erecting several homes in rural areas for underprivileged families and investing in community upliftment projects and humanitarian efforts.
He said he is saddened to still see so many people living in such harsh conditions, even after 24 years of democracy.
‘The children from the Mhlongo home attend school regularly and have achieved excellent results and we want this family to have a safe and secure home.
‘With the support of His Majesty King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu we are hoping to hand over this house as part of the King’s 70th birthday celebrations and bless this family as they move into their new house,’ said Ramlutchman.
