Toddler (1) shoots himself dead with grandfather’s handgun
The old man had taken out his gun and hidden it under this pillow earlier in the evening, after believing intruders were in his yard
A Mtubatuba family is reeling after the death of their son and grandson (14 months) who fatally shot himself after discovering his grandfathers licensed gun under the pillow of the bed his was sharing with the older man.
Murder charges were initially brought against the grandfather, but were dropped by police after investigation.
