AFTER finding the naked body of an abducted victim, Nongoma police have arrested two suspects and charged them with murder, kidnapping, rape and assault.
It is reported Thuleleni Zwane (18) was asleep at her house in Dambas area in Nongoma when five suspects knocked at the door demanding she open for them.
According to police spokesperson, Captain Nkosie Gwala the victim was sleeping with her mother at the time.
‘The suspect threatened to kill her mother and took Thuleleni away with them.
‘A case of kidnapping was registered at Nongoma and Crime Intelligent Units from Vryheid and Ulundi together with the Public Order Police worked round the clock to find the victim.
‘Five suspects were taken in for questioning on Tuesday. Three were later released, as they were not linked to the case.
‘A cellphone belonging to the victim was recovered from one of the suspects and he had changed the sim card,’ said Gwala.
Gwala explained that Thuleleni’s body naked body was found on Thursday hanging on the tree and said it isbelieved she was raped before being hung.
‘The suspects are expected to appear in court on Monday,’ she said
