Game washed out

McCarthy Toyota uThungulu's clash with African Warriors rained out

MCCARTHY Toyota uThungulu’s cricket clash with African Warriors scheduled for the Kingsmead Oval on Sunday was washed out with heavy overnight rain and a strong wind which removed the covers, ruling out any chance of play.

This was a disappointing development for the uThungulu team who had hoped to pick up a win on this occasion.

They now have to make do with the two log points they gained for the draw on this occasion.

The KwaZulu-Natal Country Districts (KZNCD) side will be in action this Saturday when they take on North-West in a South African Rural League match at Addison Park, commencing at 9.45am.

With three victories from three matches, the KZNCD squad are very keen to make this four victories out of four outings.

Surely this will assure them of a place in the South African Rural Cricket Week which takes place towards the middle of February.

The McCarthy Toyota uThungulu team have drawn a bye in this week’s round of the Castle Premier League.
