‘Sex addiction nearly ruined my life’ – MY STORY
'Sex images occupied my thoughts almost every minute of the day'

AFTER spending several months in a rehabilitation centre for sex addicts, brave *Malume (37) is not only starting over, but says he is on the way to recovery.
In October last year Malume spoke to the Zululand Observer about how his sex addiction and Hypersexuality Disorder almost ruined his family, and damaged his career.
He said sex images occupied his brain almost every minute of the day.
He would declare his love to his colleagues and even request sexual favours from them.
Not only did his actions put him in hot water with his superiors, but his colleagues also started avoiding him.
Sexual addiction or hypersexuality is defined as a dysfunctional preoccupation with sexual fantasy, often in combination with the obsessive pursuit of casual or non-intimate sex; pornography; compulsive masturbation; romantic intensity and objectified partner sex for a period of at least six months.
